Bottletop’s Limited Edition collection – ‘(RED) RUSH TO ZERO’
Luxury brand Bottletop is proud to announce its participation in (RED)’s 2012 charity campaign- ‘(RED) RUSH TO ZERO’. The (RED) campaign will include a series of global events, limited edition products, and promotions throughout June to raise funds and awareness for the global goal of an AIDS free generation by 2015.
To support the campaign, Bottletop’s Directors Oliver Wayman & Cameron Saul have co- designed three (RED) limited edition, accessories; the Malu fringed bag, Luciana bag, and the Kibe unisex belt. Perfect for summertime festival dressing, and a newcomer to Bottletop’s collection, the silver chainmail Malu bag features additional soft red Bahian leather tassles and a chunky chain strap. The classic Luciana Bottletop clutch bag has been given a sartorial twist with a red leather wriststrap, as has the Kibe belt, which features a red keeper on the front.
Bottletop will donate 10% from every purchase of (RED) products to the global fund. This is on top of the support that the sale of every Bottletop product makes to the Bottletop Foundation, which empowers young people to make healthy choices and protect themselves from HIV/ AIDS. The Bottletop Foundation currently supports over 35,000 young people each year through education projects in Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Brazil and the UK.
This partnership reinforces both (RED)’s and Bottletop’s missions in the fight against AIDS, presenting consumers with a unique opportunity to support youth education and the prevention of mother to child HIV/AIDS transmission through (RED) with a cutting edge Bottletop fashion accessory.
“Stemming the rising tide of AIDS is one of the most urgent challenges facing the global community today. I applaud your efforts in this endeavour. What a wonderful and innovative way to stop the spread of this deadly disease.”
As with all Bottletop products, these exclusive (RED) designs are beautifully crafted by hand, within the favelas of Salvador by local women using recycled ringpulls. Through this work, women from the Bottletop team gain livelihoods and a sense of security they may never have known before.
