BITCHES UNITE! It’s in fashion

Bitch on line magazineA few weeks ago I registered for the intriguingly titled ‘How to be an Eco Warrior(ess)’ event, held last week at Sellar Design + Development.  Foolishly I hadn’t done my research and was slightly taken aback when an e-mail popped up from ‘Bitch-Online’ confirming my place.  The sudden prospect of an evening spent with a group of angry women, advocating the need to sharpen our green swords and wage war on modern living, was a little daunting.  Having agreed to attend on behalf of Style With Heart, I found myself between a prehistoric rock and a hard place; with ticket in hand, and no viable reason to duck out, I decided to brave it. What future fashion?

The Future of FashionThe world is changing very quickly and resources that were abundant before
are not anymore. There are 1.3 billion people in China, over 1 billion in
India and nearly 300million in Brazil. If all those countries are to have
the same standard of life as Europeans and Americans, we will need three
planets just like earth to serve that need. We are getting to the point
where “business as usual” right now means no business in the future.

Who made your outfit…and those lacy pants?

Who made your pants?When it comes to clothes I love a bit of swishing and charity shop hunting so when it comes to indulging in a bit of shopping, underwear is my purchase of choice.  Finding beautiful and eco-friendly underwear is very difficult so it was great to see some underwear brands at The Good Fashion Show.  One which particularly stood out was Who Made Your Pants.
