This season’s top trends for men
Not so long ago there was no such thing as winter fashion for men. All that happened was that men would flock to the outdoor clothing stores in their droves in order to buy the warmest looking base layers and coats. Functional fashion was the way forward at all times, until something changed.
Over the past few years, so-called fashion has evolved into style, and dressing in the winter is now no longer about just keeping warm and dry. It is important to look good, too.
Of course, we would never suggest you sacrifice warmth, comfort, and dryness just to look good, but you’ll be pleased to know that you can achieve style in happy union with these other essential needs.
What are the top trends for this season?
Ice King
Blue is a cold colour and a natural fit for the winter, and men everywhere can look amazing by layering up in various shades of blues and even adding greys in there during the winter.
For guys heading to the office, play around with tailoring and experiment as much as you can – our preferred look is the grey suit with the effusive blue shirt and tie combination.
In terms of casual looks then it couldn’t be simpler. Start with dark blue denim jeans, pair with grey plimsolls, then layer with whichever shades you think will look best. Our essential look calls for a pale blue t-shirt layered with a darker blue cardigan or even a track top, finished off with a stylish navy or grey Parka.
Autumn Chills
The seasons’ trendy colour schemes are all based around what you would expect to see at this time of year. So from blues and greys in the winter we move to the reds, oranges, and browns that become so visible in the autumnal months as the leaves begin to fall from the trees.
How can you put so many colours together without them clashing?
The key is to look for shades of each colour that are similar – don’t go for bright reds or yellows, but instead seek out reddish browns and orange tinges of colour.
Then you’ll be ready.
To get our essential autumn look start with the perfect casual trousers in the form of corduroys. Go for a simple brown version and then layer up with orange and red t-shirts and jumpers. Loafers of any colour on your feet will do the perfect job, and all that’s left is for you to choose a stylish brown duffle coat or parka to complete the look.
Accessorise with a hat, scarf, and gloves that match the colour of your jumper for the perfect blend of autumn colours in your seasonal style.
