We tackle sensitive issues including the prevention of HIV/AIDS, unplanned teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, gender inequality, low self-esteem and vocational skills deficits. Our vision is for all young people worldwide to be equipped with the necessary health education, transferable skills and self-confidence necessary to make healthy, informed choices and achieve their full potential.

All’s fair

ll’s Fair is run by Joanna Pollard. Joanna has been working in fair trade since setting up the business in 2005 during a trip to Mexico, and has been an active campaigner in local fair trade groups as well as serving on the Board of BAFTS – The UK Fair Trade Network from 2011 to 2017. In April 2021 Joanna was appointed as Chair of the National Fairtrade Campaigner Committee.

Issara is the brainchild of Rosh, an avid traveller and corporate escapee. SAHEL began in the desert of Burkina Faso where Charlie lived for seven years among the Fulani. Horse lovers by tradition, Fulani horse harnesses have strong braided straps which are hand woven by highly skilled leather workers. All SAHEL bags and accessories employ this unique Fulani skill, evoking equine elegance and strength.  SAHEL is committed to the preservation of traditional skills and revival of artisanal livelihoods. We adhere to Fair Trade principles and invest in our West African artisans’ communities, providing better access to health care, clean water and primary education.

Paga Bags is an Eco-Fashion Social Company that produces and markets handbags, accessories and jewellery made of recycled and organic materials in collaboration with local women associations and artisans in Burkina Faso.

Trashy Bags

Our products are made from reclaimed plastic drinking water and ice-cream sachets which we do not reprocess in any way apart from cleaning. This has the benefit that very little energy is used in order to add value to material that would otherwise be dumped or burned.  In addition, by incorporating the original and complete sachets into our products, it demonstrates in a very visible way that it is possible to increase the life span of plastic packaging and so help to tackle the very serious problem of environmental pollution in Africa and elsewhere.
