Organic

For a product to be labelled ‘organic’, it needs to have received at least one of a number of recognised certifications. There are numerous national and international standards including: The Soil Association, Ecocert, Oeko-tex, European ecolabel.

Organic cotton clothing has been produced without the use of synthetic chemicals and none has been used in the processing of raw fibres to finished product. Organic cotton represents only 0.76% of total world-wide cotton production

Silverstick

Adventure’s in our nature. We hear it calling in every roaring wave, whispering forest, shimmering river and brooding mountain. And the call is always the same: Life feels better out here.

That’s the founding spirit of Silverstick. We’re outdoor people making clothes purpose-built for the natural habitats we love to play in. We created our first collection in 2010 and we’ve stuck to our made for life philosophy ever since.

Our clothes are designed and crafted to feel comfortable and look great on your adventures. They’re rugged enough to survive in the wild (and believe us, we put every fibre through its paces). And they’re sustainably produced to help support and protect our beloved natural playgrounds.

Watching over it all is the winged wayfarer that inspires all our endeavours. The magical Silverstick bird symbolises the roving spirit of adventure, urging us to spread our wings.

EcoOutfitters

EcoOutfitters is a new and dynamic ethical and sustainable school clothing company set up by two mothers, passionate about improving the quality of the school uniforms that our children spend so much time wearing.
Our kids wear their school uniforms for at least 35 hours a week. Naturally, it is the most important items of clothing in their wardrobe. So we thought to ourselves, wouldn’t it be great to have uniforms made from pure organic cotton, that has no nasties in it, and feels soft and lovely.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizes and harmful pesticides, keeping the soil fertile, water clean, and air pure for generations to come. Organic Cotton Farmers and their families don’t have to handle any toxins, and, they receive a premium price for their cotton, which can help elevating entire community out of poverty.
Every stage in making our organic uniforms, such as spinning, knitting, dyeing, and sewing is done with love, and without the use of any toxic substances that can affect our children’s development and wreak havoc to our already fragile eco system. To ensure that, our entire supply chain form seed to the final product is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) against their strict environmental and social criteria.

SuperNatural

Hi, my name is Jenny Barrett and I live in Brighton with my husband and 3 children aged 9-21!
When I started my business it really was a no brainer to work ethically and sustainably. In my opinion, you can't possibly make clothes for babies and children and not care about who makes them (ie NO CHILD LABOUR) and what impact the clothing production will have on not only our world, but more importantly ... on our children's future world.
As well as organic cotton we use natural based fibres which provide lovely soft, easy-care, long-lasting alternatives to land and water guzzling cotton.
Our clothing is fun to wear and because it's well made from good quality fabrics will be handed down to younger bruvs and sisters - the ULTIMATE RECYCLE:):)
Not just natural - SUPERNATURAL!!!
